I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University’s Population Studies and Training Center. I received my doctoral degree in Sociology and Social Policy from Princeton University in 2026.
I am a mixed-methods scholar whose research interests broadly include housing, immigration, race and ethnicity, inequality, and public policy. My work draws on large administrative datasets, surveys, and in-depth interviews to understand how the housing market produces and perpetuates social inequality. You can find my work in Social Forces, PNAS, and City and Community.
One direction of my research looks at how market actors (e.g. landlords, property managers, developers) make decisions in different legal, policy, and political environments and, in the process, reify disparities in the housing market.
My newer projects study housing affordability and evictions among immigrants. I pay special attention to how institutions in immigrant neighborhoods shape experiences of immigrant integration and broader processes of neighborhood change.
Prior to graduate school, I helped build the first ever dataset of evictions in America with the Eviction Lab. I also served as a GRADFutures Fellow at New America’s Future of Land and Housing Team and the East Asian Languages team co-lead at Respond Crisis Translation. I hold a B.S. in Business from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a M.A. from Princeton University.
